Some stories emerge from the perpetually restless depths of our bodies and our planet: devastation and silence, fertility and death, wonder and knowledge. Stories of earth, rock, ice and fire that invite us to explore the fragile yet essential balance between humanity and nature, between the inner and the outer landscape.

Wind is mythical, it is practical, it is catharsis. Wind destroys or carries – invisible character with visible results. Aliseo is a journey of transformation, without beginning nor end.

Together with students from the Irene K. Dance Studio, Martin Stockberg creates large-scale drawings on gravel surfaces. Using scrubbing brushes, lines and shapes are drawn onto the ground of August-Schmidt-Platz—with every movement leaving a visible trace. The resulting work is then incorporated into the event, undergoing constant transformation through the dancers’ movements and the use of the space. In this way, drawing, dance, and performance merge into a living, ephemeral Gesamtkunstwerk that continually evolves throughout the course of the performance.
