Irene K. - Colorful strings from a Kunstinstallation stretch diagonally across a city square with historic buildings, a church, and a dark, cloudy sky. People walk nearby and some sit at outdoor tables, experiencing Tanz im öffentlichen Raum.

A completely new and unique performance arises at each venue,
as the location itself, its history, its architecture,
and its purpose influences the choreography.
The uniqueness of each place serves as an inspiration for the art installation. It offers the audience a new perspective on the respective location.

The installation consists of a multitude of thin linen threads. The installation separates or connects, it casts a diffuse veil. The encompassing fabric creates individual spaces and walls, different places of sensation and perception.

All these tangled threads represent frontiers, physical or imaginary, moral or real. The art installation and the performance are metaphors for our entangled lives as we commit ourselves to cohabitation within a complex social weft, raveling and unravelling, tracing smooth or chaotic trajectories of variable geometry.
